Marc Marquez recovered from a poor start caused by a massive wheelspin off the line when his own visor tear-off got stuck under his rear Michelin soft tire to carve his way through the field and set-up a tense duel in the dying stages between himself and championship leader Jorge Martin.
The pair traded the lead three times in the latter stages, with a massive lunge into Turn 4 proving the decisive move for Marquez on Lap 25 of 27. He ultimately took the chequered flag 0.997 secs clear of Martin to score his third Grand Prix win of the season.
He was joined on the podium by Jorge Martin in second and Pecco Bagnaia in third.Enea Bastianini finished fifth, Maverick Vinales eighth, Fabio Quartararo ninth and Raul Fernandez tenth; all Alpinestars riders.
